20% Methyl Acrylate Content. Characteristics: Processing Temperature Range: 280-600°F, Less Crystalline and Softer than Polyethylene, Excellent Thermal Stability Allows Extrusion Processing up to 600°F, Non-Corrosive at Extrusion Temperatures, FDA Clearance for Packaging of Most Foods – including Aseptic Packaging, No FDA thickness limitationApplications:Coatings & Laminations: Higher Neck-In but Similar Drawdown vs. LDPE Extrusion Coating Grades, Excellent Heat Seal Response at Low Seal Temperatures, Adheres Very Well to Non-Porous Substrates such as OPP, PVDC Coated Substrates, and Polyester, Adheres well to Porous Substrates such as Paper and Paperboard; Compounding: Impact Modification, Compatibilizer; Film: Tie Layers for LDPE, LLDPE, HDPE, PET, PP, PVDC, Ionomer, EVA, EAA, PVC (Rigid), PCEastman Chemical Company sold its polyethylene business to Westlake Chemical Corporation in Dec. 2006. This grade no longer appears in the Westlake product line.
