Description
Material Notes:
6.5 wt% Methacrylic Acid.Nucrel® 0609HSA is an ethylene-methacrylic acid copolymer resin available for use in conventional extrusion coating, coextrusion coating, and extrusion laminating equipment designed to process polyethylene resins. This resin may also be used in conventional blown and cast film extrusion and coextrusion equipment.Features & Benefits: Excellent adhesion to unprimed foil, paper and metallized film provides better substrate protection, improved structure reliability, and barrier integrity. This product provides very good but lower adhesion to polyethylene than acid copolymers with 4% or less methacrylic acid content (e.g., Nucrel® 0407 and Nucrel® 0411HS). High speed operation on packaging machinery is enhanced by low seal initiation temperature compared to LDPE Excellent hot tack, sealability through contamination, and heat seal strength provides strong, reliable heat seals Contains anti-oxidant.Typical Applications: Foil-containing pouches and sachets; Aseptic and hot-fill liquid cartons; Lidding and snack structures; Other foil, metallized film, or paper coatings as a heat seal or tie layer.Information provided by DuPont Packaging Polymers.
